The Support of Americans

In the beginning of the war, America stayed neutral, and did not want to interfere with a war in Europe. But after Americans were killed by Germans in submarine warfare, and a secret message was intercepted from Germany trying to convince Mexico to join the war, America felt like it had no choice but to join the Allies. Americans supported the soldiers greatly. The whole country made economic and household sacrifices for their soldiers to have proper food and equipment. Americans gave money to the war, helped build boats and guns, and donated food and service to the war. Women even stopped wearing corsets to the steal inside the corset could be used for building ships and artillery. America lost only 116,708 men, compared to other countries millions.
